Thinking About Reflexology?

What to Expect (No, It’s Not Just a Fancy Foot Massage!)

So, you’re considering reflexology—congratulations! You’re about to enter a world where your feet get pampered, your stress melts away, and you suddenly wonder why you didn’t start this sooner. But before you kick off your shoes (literally), let’s talk about what happens during a session.

Step 1: The "Tell Me Everything" Consultation

Your first session starts with a personal consultation. We’ll chat about your health, lifestyle, stress levels, and concerns.

In some cases, it may be necessary to get your doctor’s approval before starting treatments. This is part of the code of practice but instead of treating the reflexes on the feet, your hands or facial reflexes can be used instead.

The treatment needs to be adjusted during pregnancy or during cancer treatment. I am trained to use advanced techniques for individuals with specific medical conditions

Step 2: The Actual Treatment

  1. Take off your shoes (that’s it!). For hand reflexology all rings and watches should be removed.

  2. You will then relax on a comfy couch. You can have a heated or weighted blanket if you want.

  3. Before the foot massage begins, you will receive a brief hand massage to help you relax. You will also be offered some essential oils to assist with relaxation.

  4. The socks will be removed and the feet will be cleaned using a hot steamed cloths which feels amazing. Then home crafted foot butter is massaged on the feet and lower limbs.

The treatment itself involves applying precise pressure to specific points on the feet. because each area corresponds to different organs and systems in your body. Think of it as pressing reset buttons for stress relief, relaxation, and overall wellness all through your feet!

While Reflexology is most effective on the feet, reflexes of the hand and face can also be treated.

Afterwards

Most people feel completely relaxed, refreshed, and ready for a nap. You may have a n immediate sense of deep relaxation and reduced stress. Some people feel more energised and balanced. To maximize the benefits of your reflexology treatment, drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins and keep things running smoothly.

How Often Should You Get Reflexology?

While a single session is great, the effects of reflexology are cumulative—meaning, the more often you do it, the better you’ll feel!

For specific conditions: A treatment every two weeks is recommended for four sessions.
For maintenance & relaxation: Regular sessions once every 4 - 6 weeks can keep your body balanced.

Is Reflexology Worth It?

If you love the idea of melting away stress, improving circulation, and giving your body a natural healing boost, then reflexology might just be your new favourite wellness therapy. So, why not ditch the stress and treat your feet?
